Pennsylvania collision sends several to hospital

On Behalf of | May 5, 2020 | Personal Injury |

Pennsylvania intersections are often dangerous places. Even if someone is alert and cautious while navigating a crossroads, disaster may still occur if another driver is negligent or reckless. On a recent Saturday night, a collision occurred that caused injuries to several people.

Preliminary investigations show that a 57-year-old man was driving a Corvette at the time. Details remain unclear as to what may have caused the vehicle to veer out of its lane. However, the car crossed from a westbound lane into another lane of traffic. Moments later, an accident occurred.

Another driver, age 25, had just navigated his way through an intersection when the Corvette slammed into his vehicle. He was carrying several passengers at the time. The force of impact in the collision sent the man’s vehicle spinning. The vehicle came to a halt after it hit a curb and a nearby signpost, then flipped over on the shoulder of the road.

Each of the four occupants in the vehicle that was struck suffered injuries. The driver suffered an arm injury, while others were transported to a nearby hospital with facial, neck and head injuries. Pennsylvania collisions like this one often lead to litigation when recovering victims seek financial restitution in civil court. The driver of the Corvette in this particular case was charged with careless driving and also cited for failure to maintain lane position. Anyone recently injured in a collision who wishes to learn more about how to file a personal injury claim may request a meeting with an attorney experienced in this field of law.
